Born in Slaughter, Mississippi, she was the fourth of eight children born to Rev. Willie and Littie Wade. After graduating from high school she moved to Flint, Michigan with her parents. She accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Pilgrim Temple Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of Supt. L.J. Jackson where she met the love of her life, and later married, Arthur J. Adams, Sr. To that union God blessed them to have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. Later in life she also raised 2 grandchildren.

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."
Proverbs 31:10-12

The Lord called her husband into the ministry, and in June 1976, he began pastoring. Mother Adams worked untiringly by her husbands side. She was a pastors wife for 26 years, and labored with him until the Lord called her husband home in March 2001.

"Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."
Proverbs 31:31

Mother Adams' history and service to the Church of God in Christ on the local church level includes serving in the capacity of: President of Minister's Wives, President of Missionary Circle, Sunday School Teacher, Prayer & Bible Band Teacher and Church Secretary. She also served as President of Minister's Wives on the District level. In the Jurisdiction Mother Adams has worked as President of the YWCC, Executive Secretary, and Administrative Assistant to the State Supervisor.

"It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."
Mark 4:31-32

Mother Adams has done and is always doing whatever her hands find to do. She is a faithful church worker who is highly favored, blessed and anointed of God. She loves people and loves to make people happy. The manifestation of Mother Adams' seeds — her Local, District and Jurisdictional works — came in July 2000, when, after the Emeritizing of Mother Lena Lucas, Bishop Herbert J. Williams appointed Mother Corene Wade-Adams, State Supervisor of the Department of Women of the Michigan North Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Mother Adams lives by her favorite scripture: Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,…"
